Welcome to the index page for all the tech-related subpages on my website. I frequently joke that I consider myself a technomancer, which is only a half-serious consideration. I don't think I can control computers with my brain or anything unhinged like that. However, I personally consider the existence of the modern computer as an inherently magical phenomenon, and I think it's an odd occurrence to be able to understand them at an intricate level.
Magic? I thought you were a woman of science, Salty!
🦠 I'm not talkin' D&D spellcasting or some new age cult shit. Magic feels like it's simply a byproduct of our all-too-predictable, pattern-obsessed human brains. To me, it's an amalgamation of those impossible-feeling coincidences (déjà vu), miraculous moments of pure human instinct, and an inherent connection with the things around us. Whether it's scientifically-viable or not doesn't matter to me; it's all about the feeling!
ANYWAYS - I am constantly collecting old electronics, hoarding computers, tinkering with anything I can source from the thrift store or on the marketplace. I figure the best place to yammer about all of my cool tech stuff, aside from when I can trick my wife into listening to me talk about it, is on my website! This page will eventually hold all the things you see detailed below; not all links are functional at this point.

In case you missed it, I'm a big fan of computers. Naturally, I perpetually perfecting my digital setup with a suite of custom scripts, software, and general debauchery. Eventually, this page will educate you about all that stuff. I'd also love to have a little interactive "PC Dressup" game to play with the stickers and magnets on a virtual copy of my computer case! :)

I have a ton of "old" tech that I've been accumulating over the years. My collection includes a scavenged assortment of digital cameras, camcorders, computers, TVs, and other oddball electronics. Eventually, this page will house a complete archive of pictures of and write-ups about each item, as well as any cool projects I've done with them.
The button below will take you to my Internet Archive profile where you may download anything from my collection of vintage software, PC games, DVDs, and other physical media. I have always loved collecting physical copies of things, especially in the age of streaming services and ever-changing programming/licensing rights. I swipe most of these CDs from thrift stores or the marketplace, but I sometimes pay a premium on eBay if it's something special.
What's my workflow?
Once I get these discs home, I use IsoBuster to rip a virtual image of the raw data (in .BIN or .ISO format). Then, I use my Epson V600 scanner to scan in any accompanying paper ephemera onto my PC. While I'm waiting for things to scan, I fill out a text file highlighting general information about the disc, and I also spend time keying in metadata for the upload. It usually takes me 30-45 minutes to do this part of the process. Once I'm all done with that, I upload everything to the Internet Archive, which usually takes another 10-45 minutes, depending on total file size.
